rose absolute rosa damascena mill

It's May, and roses are blooming. Rosa Damascena, also known as Damask Rose, is an ingredient in our TheraBlend™ Advanced Massage Cream. Roses are not only beautiful to look at and lovely to smell; their essential oil has many medicinal properties. We included it in this product for its antibacterial, skin-soothing, and antioxidant properties, but research shows that it has many other wonderful qualities. In many countries, it is referred to as the Queen of Flowers.

Rosa Damascena is anti-HIV, antitussive (useful to relieve coughs), antidiabetic, hypnotic, and a relaxant to the trachea.¹ It's widely used in the cosmetic and skincare industries for its skin conditioning effects and anti-aging properties. Numerous studies have shown that the oil of this rose has antibacterial and antifungal properties, is  antidepressant and anti-anxiety, and can improve sexual dysfunction.²

Rosa Damascena is also used in expensive perfumes. It takes approximately 10,000 pounds of rose petals to make one pound of essential oil. No wonder it's so dear. We obtain the best plant oils and plant extracts we can buy and we subject every batch to extensive quality control testing for purity and efficacy. In spite of that, our products are reasonably priced.

Our Advanced Massage Cream also contains Hyaluronic Acid to help create a moisturizing retention shield and is pH balanced at a level that is almost identical to that of the skin. This helps maintain the skin's barrier and integrity. It has been demonstrated that skin with the proper pH value is healthier, more hydrated, and has a stronger barrier function. We combine all these benefits in a luxurious base that maintains the perfect glide.

We hope you have a great May, and don't forget to take time to stop and smell the roses!
